So what you have to do is talk about Disney's best movie and worst movie. You have to explain why for each of them. After I get some replies, I'll post a poll of the top ten best movies, vote, and walla! This isn't supposed to be taken seriously. Remember, have fun!
Here, I'll post mine for an example. ^~^
Favorite movie: The Little Mermaid because I thought the comedy was just awesome, the music was so catchy, and the characters personalities were just so awesome!
Worst Movie: Frozen. What a disgrace to the Disney company. I hope they're not putting that in the Disney Vault because... Well, o think everyone knows why.
Oh, and no offense to anybody that likes a particular movie that someone else does.
Enjoy! :3 -
*I *doesn't. Damn you, autocorrect. -_-

You know, I can't help but notice you didn't actually give a reason for Frozen. You just said 'oh, what a terrible movie, you already know why' and left it at that. I don't know why, and every time I ask no one answers. So tell me, WHY is Frozen a terrible movie? Why is it worse than s--- like Cars 2 and The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr Toad?
Anyway, Favorite Movie: The Emperor's New Groove. What's not to love? You got no princess, an interesting setting, Kronk, good character dynamic, a compelling villain and animation that puts 3d to shame.
Worst Movie: Cars 2. Just...you can't build a movie around a single joke. It doesn't work, you need more than that. Nobody laughed the when you put the backwater hillbilly in Tokyo, nobodies going to laugh when you put him Russia. He's not funny. Why did you make a movie where the premise was 'take the retarded truck from the first movie, and put him in a different culture. Hilarity ensues. Probably.' -
Here. This is just my opinion of why it sucks.
The songs are completely overrated. That's one reason, but also because the songs-they're good-it's just that people make s--- out of it by constantly putting those songs everywhere. Gets annoying.
Second, the enemy (as I mentioned in Br0wniebunny's thread) was seriously, just, what a pathetic villain. When he didn't kiss Anna, I think lots of people saw that coming. Plus, his vulnerability and evil schemes were so recognizable.
Finally, the movie doesn't have an impact, rather just because the movies overrated and because Elsa's pretty and has powers. The only reason people think this movies "cute" is the damn songs and that Elsa and Anna seem to be so helpless. Cinderella or Belle or Ariel could survive way longer than Frozen.
I hope that answered your question. Feel free to ask more if you are interested. Thanks for cooperating. -
What do you mean by impact? Do you mean not memorable? Lacking a moral? Lacking depth? Because if everyone is playing the songs everywhere and the movie is one of the most viewed movies ever, I think that counts as making an impact.
And I don't think Elsa and Anna are vulnerable. Elsa, maybe, but Anna chased her sister to the top of the highest mountain in the land on the chance she could talk some sense into her. What would Belle or Ariel have done better? Belle especially, considering she spent her entire movie cowering from the Beast.
Also, I don't believe you when you say you saw the villain coming. I don't believe there's a single person who looked at Hans and thought 'yes, he's the villain.' -
Favorite movie: Tarzan. The reason for the film is because it focuses on themes of family and adoption. In addition, the songs by Phil Collins helps Tarzan progress forward, and I know every word by heart.
Worst movie: Cars (original and sequel), because it's uninspiring. There's no actual plot to it, compared to "Up" and "Toy Story". No ingenious imagination.
Frozen, because its excessively overrated, the songs aren't catchy, Olaf the snowman is agitating, and the plot twist of Hans as villan was too random. If only there was subtle foreshadowing, it would develop the concept much further. -
Favorite film: The Emperor's New Groove. Yzma and Kronk are super hilarious, they never fail to make me laugh. This movie should get more merit than it deserves. Nostalgia factor, you know? :)
Worst film: Maybe Sleeping Beauty? All she does is sing and look beautiful. Forgettable Disney princess. -
Both my favorite and least favorite film is Frozen. Why? For best, the reunion and how Elsa cared about her sister and all this saving and love and it was all just endearing. The songs, though, were catchy but also annoying, and I also don't like the fact that it's been raging for a while..

I hate basically everything about Disney except Percy Jackson and Aladdin. I kinda only like it for Robin Williams.

Favorite: The Emporors New Groove I LOVE it!!
Least Favorite: Frozen I did like this but it got completly overrated and boring. -
Best: Personally I have a soft spot for Mulan. Everything about that movie is on point. Excellent story, great action sequences, great music.
Worst: It's hard for me to say there is a bad Disney film. If I had to pick one though, it would be Cinderella. Kind of the polar opposite message of Mulan, that a man will come and save you and that women are best seen and not heard. I could also lump Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, or Little Mermaid into that discussion, but at least there were cool villains in those movies. The evil stepmother is a b---- but she isn't a villain. No poison apple, no cursed rose, no Faustian bargains. She's just kind of your run of the mill thorn in your side. -
Favorite: Tangled. First of all I love Flynn's humor which brought the movie to life. Also, the story of Rapunzel was my favorite fairy tale when I was little. Rapuznel's singing voice was beautiful, and I relate to Rapunzel's plight.
Least favorite: Frozen. Okay, I know a lot of people love the song "Let it Go," but the plot is very unrealistic. What kind of parents would lock their daughter up for 15 some on years just because the chick accidentally hurt her sister? Her powers could have been used for something good! And poor Anna, she was even more homeschooled than I am...she was such an idiot for getting engaged to that guy on the spot, and then leaving him in charge. The movie seemed to have no moral to it either. The one good thing I have to say is Olaf. He was very funny and cute. But that's about it. -
CrazyScarecrow NewbieFavorite: Nightmare Before Christmas. It's just an amazing, amazing movie that has one of the best ideas ever! The songs are good, the animation is good, the characters are fun and creepy, and they kidnap Sandy Claws and almost get him killed!
Toy Story (all of them). It's an interesting concept and very imaginative. It had a great effect on my childhood so it will always be somewhat special to me.
Honorable Mentions: Robin Hood, Dumbo, Tarzan
Least Favorite: Cars 2. The first one was okay. I do hate the first one though it's not because it's bad or anything. It's just because my little brother has watched it so many times in my presence that it became annoying. Cars 2 is uggh!
I hate how much of a jerk everyone is in the movie towards Mater. I mean, yes, I am sure we would all get annoyed with Mater after awhile though everyone in that movie is a jerk to him. There really is nothing memorable about the movie. All the characters you started to care about such as Sally and Doc Hudson are either dead or given a minor role.
It just left a bad taste in my mouth and they made almost every character unlikable just because of how they treated Mater. I guess it's also the fact that it doesn't have as much heart in it as other Pixar movies. Toy Story had heart. Monsters Inc. had heart. Up had heart. The first Cars had heart. The movie kinda came off as a response due to how easy it is to sell to kids.
I just was really bothered by the movie. -
I agree. Cars 2 is very disappointing. I watched it once and I was done. I was like what the hell is this movie about anyway? I didn't find a moral in the movie at all, much less a followable plot line.
-
Favorite:Tangled because the detail in the animation is spot-on. The songs are catchy, and no where near as annoying as Frozen. The humor in it is unforgettable, and the relationship between Eugene and Rapunzel is beautiful. The best movie ever made.
Another favorite of mine is Nightmare Before Christmas, because I love how it's so creepy and fun. It has an entertaining, uniqe plot and moral and storyline.
Honorable mentions: Mulan, Big Hero 6, The Lion King
Least favorite is probably Cars 2, because 15 minutes in I got bored and realized that the movie was going to be terrible. Although I love the first one, this one just really sucked.
By the way, they are making Cars 3 right now.
