Well if its on your phone, and there are no author apps, just type it up on your email and save it as a draft. That's what I do.
If you just want to write a story without the app, just type it up on word. -

No problem. JUST MAKE SURE TO COPY IT BEFORE YOU SAVE!! In case it doesn't save, you can paste it and save it again.
