Immortal
An immortal never lives,
it simply stands.
And chains forever bind it's hands.
Though it's blood shall never stain the hourglass sands.
Forever it walks, dead on it's feet, as eternity commands.
Such an existence to lead, that of the immortal.
The forever ill.
As they seek only themselves to kill.
And as time drags on, so dies their will,
and leaves behind the body to drag on still.
The ultimate punishment, to live forever,
to be immortal is to die while alive.
To die while alive, as many have,
lost forever to the cold sands of time. -
