Jayd grinned.

Chester kissed the side of his head, leading him out of the museum.

Jayden held his hand tightly as they went outside.

Chester looked around for reporters, keeping him close.

Jayden did as well. He didn't want to hold Chester too close, but also needed him close by.

Chester walked down the street, ignoring the stares from his citizens.

Jayden tried to as well. It didn't work well. He squeezed Chester's hand tighter.

Chester interlaced their fingers. ‘On second thoughts, maybe we should just go back to the castle,’ he said quietly.

Jayden looked up at him. "Do you want to?" He didn't want Chester to feel like he was some fragile little boy who couldn't handle a few stares... even if he was.

‘It would probably be safer. And more comfortable,’ Chester said, rubbing his thumb along Jayden’s knuckles. ‘We can steal some pastries from the kitchen if you want.’

Jayden leaned into him. "Whatever you want." He shrugged. He noticed a little boy staring and loosened his grip on Chester's hand.

Chester followed his gaze. He intertwined his finger with Jayden’s.

Jayd looked up at Chester both nervously and incredibly proudly.

Chester glanced down at him with a smile, pecking his nose.

Jayden blushed hard, grinning. He heard a camera snap. Figures.
