Chester & Jayden

Chester wrapped an arm around him and pulled him close. ‘Is this okay?’ he asked quietly.
-
Jayd blushed, nodding. "Yeah."
-
Chester smiled, holding him close as he continued to write.
-
Jayd smiled. "May I read what you're writing?" He asked quietly.
-
Chester blushed. He didn’t want to make it seem like he was hiding something, so he moved it so Jayden could see. ‘Of course.’ It was basically him fawning over Jayden, recounting the day. The end sentence was I hope he doesn’t find out but cut off there.
-
Jayden read the diary entry, chuckling. He paused at the end sentence. "What do you hope I don't find out?" He mumbled.
-
Chester froze. He signed off the diary entry and closed it. ‘Nothing,’ he said, kissing his jaw. ‘Let’s go to bed.’
-
Jayd raised his eyebrows. He didn't believe him- especially after he froze up.
-
Chester forced a smile. He pulled the blankets over them both and shifted his position so he was snuggled up to Jayden, but held onto him loosely enough so he could pull away.
-
Jayden sighed. "I can tell that your smile is fake." He muttered.
-
Chester’s smile wiped off his face. He buried his face in Jayden’s shoulder. ‘Sorry,’ he mumbled. ‘I.. I can’t tell you.’ He tried to think of a good enough excuse. ‘Maeve might not want me too.’
-
Jayd was taken off guard by that. "Hey, it's okay." He murmured. "I just don't want you to fake in front of me."
-
‘I know. It’s nothing bad, promise,’ Chester mumbled, like a liar would.
-
Jayden nodded. "I get it. Sorry for acting so pushy."
-
‘It’s okay. I see why, it sounded ominous,’ Chester said with a nervous laugh. ‘G’night, Jayden.’
