Chester morphed into a half cat. He walked out into the garden and put on his overcoat, then grabbed a watering can and tried to distract himself by taking care of his plants.

Jayden didn't know what he was supposed to do with the diary. He opened it up eventually.

The page Jayden opened to was the week before, when Beatrice and Benji had come over. It was mostly Chester ranting about how horrible they both were.

Jayden curled up as he read it, flipping the pages since he didn't want a reminder of the two of them.

The page Jayden opened up to was just Chester rambling about how pretty he was.

Jayden grinned. He knew Chester thought he was pretty, but it was nice hearing it regardless.

Meanwhile, Chester was watering the plants in his garden.

Jayden flipped through the pages, going to the final entry.

The most recent had been from the day before, talking about his condition and the stupid truth telling pills.

Jayden closed the book eventually, sighing. He wanted Chester to come back. He missed him.

Chester watered his plants. He kept thinking back to Jayden.

Jayden buried his head in his hands, sighing. He was such a mess.

Chester managed his take his mind off everything and take care of his plants.

Jayden wasn't able to. He curled up, grabbing the blanket.

Chester eventually returned to his room. He'd morphed into a half phoenix, so had the overcoat over his shoulders.
