Jayden watched him. "We'll ask Oliver, alright?"

Chester sighed softly and nodded, burying his face in his hands, wings curling around himself.

Jayd didn't know if Chester wanted him to hug him again or if physical contact would make it worse, so he just stood there.

Chester sighed, pulling himself together. ‘L-Let’s go have breakfast. Oliver will be there.’

Jayden nodded. "Sounds good."

After the two changed into some fresh clothes, they walked to the dining hall, and got a lot of stares.

Jayden held Chester close, sitting down.

Chester sighed. Maeve teleported next to them and did a double take. ‘Wha-‘

"He's a ginger now. Be nice to him. He's going through a hard time." Jayden tried hard to say that with a straight face.

That made Chester even more depressed. Maeve snickered and touched his wings. ‘Woah. I didn’t know you could do that.’

Jayden looked up at him. "You look like an angel, love." He said, though he doubted gingers could be angels (the author writes as if they aren't friends with gingers-).

‘I look like those joke versions of Satan.’

Jayden chuckled. "A hot one."
Maeve snickered again. -
‘Phoenixes light on fire when they’re upset!’ Chester complained. ‘So, yeah, I’m technically hot!’

Jayd pat his head. "That's not what I meant and you know it. Please don't burn me."
