Alright team assemble here. I think DOA's story will work out fine. Since we have time just post your views on DOA's story incase you want a different plot.

Ever since I can remember, I was told that I was going to be sacrificed. At first, I didn't believe them. After all, how could my parents do that to me? But now, I realize that it was true, and since I've been taught nothing else, I knew I had to accept my fate and please the island's gods. Every year, my tribe chooses a baby-a girl-to be sacrificed on her fifteenth year. The tribe leaders take them to the highest point on the island, and then they kill them by smashing their head in. Today is my fifteenth year, and even though I know this must be done, I'm not sure if I want to leave yet.

How about we make it a story of a girl who lives in the Bahama's and she's about to be sacrificed, but manages to escape, and is now trying to survive by living in the forests, and running from the people who want her to be sacrificed?
I gaze up at the clouds, the sky, and everything that I need passionately. Why me? There are so many others in the world, and I'm chosen? No. Destiny is something I cannot avert, but now I took my stance. Gods or no Gods, this was my life and im not going to die. Sacrifice or Anything else, It means my death. I break down in my room and I need to avert destiny. I run outside for one of my last free days of life before I know I do not want to die. -

The sun is bright, the breeze is light and cool. It almost seemed unfair for the rest of the world to be so bright on such a devastating day. I just keep running, not really sure where I'm going. My feet pound over the sand, and then over a blanket of grass and debris as I enter the forest. Looking around, I realize something. I don't have to die... No, no, I can't just run away...can I? But if it's that or death...do I really value the gods' tempers over my own life? I answer aloud. "Of course not." With that, I begin running deeper into the forest, getting as far as possible from my village. I need to survive.
