not sure if you'll ike it, but this was my idea:
A guy got set up (you decide how and who did it), and is now sent to the highest security prison of whatever country. It's life scentence. Everyone there are killers, and will try to kill him just because he is new. The only thing that keeps him from suicide, is his true love. They keep writing to each other about everything that happens n their life.
So that was my idea. i'll try to think of something else if you don'r like it. -
A girl with an achoholic and drug addict father who has issues (cutter, mental, bulimia or whatever) gets bullied at her school for being a misfit and a loner. After class she works a late shift to manage to pay for shelter, food, and etcetera something her parents don't do. One day her father goes to jail for trying to rob money to buy drugs an gets a sentence (how many years you'd like) and her mom blames it on her. Things get worse at school kids rub in that her father is in jail and she only has a mother left. One day a girl pushes her a flight of stairs. A guy who moves in town befriends with her and help her with her idea that suicide is the answer.
