Who is the User Gtq Guy?
Gtq Guy is the creator of this site, or the admin. He will notify you of any changes being made on the site via the Feedback and Updates forum. It also possible to directly communicate problems with him by creating a thread directed to him in the Feedback and Updates forum. However, it may take him a long time to answer. If you need to tell him any problems, glitches, or concerns that need to be taken care of right away, another way to contact him is to directly email Gtq Guy, which is admin[@]gotoquiz.com (remove the ['s)
Who Are the Moderators And What Can They Do?
A moderator's main purpose is to deter spam, massive foul language, highly inappropriate items, and to help calm down huge fights. We are also here to help anyone in whatever way we can.
Moderators have the ability to penalize offensive users by increasing their posting time limit via the grey "offensive" button at the bottom right corner of your post. If you receive too many offensive points, you are likely to get suspended from posting in the forums. These effects normally decrease over time; A week or two will get you back on your feet. Hopefully by then you'll be having happy posting and will have learned a lesson.

How Do I Go To My Profile Page?
You may click on your name in any thread you have created (at the bottom it'll say your username followed by "click here if you are not [username]"). You can also click the link of your name found in quiz(s) you have made.
Why Can I Not Set Up/Change My Profile Picture?
If you are in the "Newbie" status you will not be able to set up a profile picture until you reach the "Novice" status. After you reach "Novice" status, go to your profile, click on the blue link that reads "set your picture" and voila, your profile picture is right there on your account and will be seen on the forums.
If you already have the blue link (meaning you're at the "Novice" status) but still cannot change it, it may be because of the device you are using (phones, tablets, iPods etc). If you have more than one way to access GoToQuiz (such as you use a phone and a laptop), try using the other device.
How Do I Log Out Of My Account?
Go to any thread, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on the blue link that says "Click here if you are not [username]" with your username being in the ['s. The link is found just above the post box before you post into threads.
Why Am I Unable To Post Links And/Or Pictures?
You must be at the "Junior" status or higher to be able to post links and pictures. If you are at the "Newbie" or "Novice" status, it will replace the link or picture's link with [no urls]. Keep in mind that directly posting your email will not work. If you post an email, it will be replaced by [no emails]. If you feel the need to post an email, post it in spaces eg. "gotoquiz @ email.com" or by using a box eg. "gotoquiz[@]gmail.com"
We highly suggest NOT posting your email(s) here due to the possibility of having your account hacked.

My Progress Bar Decreased... Why?
We don't know whether it is some type of glitch or is supposed to happen, but at some point for (almost) every user, his or her status bar decreased in the early stages of the transfer between "Novice and Junior". Don't mind it and carry on.
However, at times, your progress bar may decrease due to excessive use of foul language. This happens at ANY LEVEL, be warned! Another thing; Deleting quizzes linked to your account greatly decreases your progress bar and may even decrease your status! Make sure you really want to delete the quiz.
How Can I Reach The Next Statuses Quickly?
The main way is to create unique quizzes that people can find and take. If they're unique and have effort in them, it might make it to the front page. Quizzes that make it to the front page give a bigger boost in your progress bar than ones that you only made for your friends, but creating quizzes in general will usually give your progress bar a boost. Other minor ways to level up include posting in the forums, taking other people's quizzes, or commenting and rating on quizzes.
Remember that the higher you move up in the statuses, the longer it takes to reach the next status.
How Do I Make My Quiz Reach the Front Page?
The quizzes found on the front page are popular quizzes that have interested more than one person. Hence it is advisable to create a quiz that has a popular theme on that will catch everyone's attention. An example would be a quiz titled "What Supernatural Powers Do You Have?". The more people take your quiz, the more likely it is that your quiz will make it to the front page. Remember to be creative! Creativity will get your quizzes up there.
Are All of the Forums Meant For Chatting?
The main chatting forum is The Lounge forum. The other forums are mainly for help, advice, fandoms, friendly debates, and criticism. Remember to respect everyone's opinions, no two people have the exact same personality.
Why Didn't My Quiz Make It To the "Newest Quizzes" list?
Remember, hundreds of quizzes are made every day for the site to filter into the Newest Quizzes List. Some quizzes may take longer to get on the Newest Quizzes list and others may not get there at all. This could be because the quiz was overlooked by the site's filters. Another reason for your quiz not appearing on the "Newest Quizzes" list is that you may have ticked the "This quiz is only for a circle of friends" option when you were finishing off the quiz. By ticking this option, your quiz will not appear on the "Newest Quizzes" list. The best solution for this is to suspend your quiz for a while then reactivate it. If this does not work, you can either let it go or try to remake the quiz.
How Do I Cross Out Or Bold My Letters When I Post?
To cross out letters, do the following... < s > enter text here < / s > (without any spaces)
To bold letters, do the following... < b > enter text here < / b > (without spaces)
To use italics, do the following < i > enter text here < / i > (without spaces)
To post a picture, do the following... [ img ] http://...(picture address) [ / img ] (without spaces)
To post Link Texts, do the following... [ url = http://...site/picture address ]link text [ / url]
Some of these features won't work depending on your status.
My Quiz Will Not Link To My Account... Why?

Am I Restricted To Where I Can or Should Post?
You are free to post anywhere you like except threads that say "Private for ** and ** users only" or "For these users that ____". Respect those requests and leave those threads alone, everything else is free for you to post in. :)
One thing you DO NOT WANT TO DO is post in threads that the last person to post in was more than 5 days ago, as these threads are now considered to be "Dead" threads.
Is There A Limit To How Many Threads I Can Create?
There is no limit, but an important suggestion would be to not create threads one after the other within a small space of time as this will be seen as spamming and could lead to you getting penalized. 1 to 3 threads in a forum is good. 4 to 6 threads is passible, but not very good if -

If GTQ Guy Is The Creator of the Site, Why Do Some Users Have A Higher Rank Than him?
GTQ Guy started at the "Newbie" status, just like us. He took the time to be fair to everyone and be equal. He isn't on 24/7 like most of us are, and so might not have the time to level up as fast as we try, which is why some have a higher status than him.
My Account Got Hacked, Why?
It is likely that you put some sort of information out on the forums that lead to you getting hacked, such as an email. A hacker can go a LONG WAYS by knowing your favorite color or your email. This means your password was easy to guess because you expressed things you liked that were in your password. To ensure this doesn't happen again (assuming you made a new account), try using a harder password.

Why Do I Get Yelled At For Posting in A Roleplay Thread? I thought it was for everyone?
When you want to join a RolePlay, you should check to make sure they're still looking for people to join. Make sure someone has said "still looking for an RPer" or something of equivalence. -
I Called Someone A Newbie Today, and I Was Told That I Was One Too.. But I'm A Novice (or higher), So Why Are They Saying That?
While the average user who has the "Newbie" status is indeed called a newbie, users judge you by how long you've been here and how you act. You could be at the status "Expert" and STILL be considered a newbie because you're only been here half a year! If you really want people to stop saying that, relax, and act mature. Don't call others a newbie. It's the best way to get people off your behind.
I Posted In Someone's Thread, and Everyone Suddenly Disappeared! What's Up With Them?
Most likely, they all had to go, or they didn't want you there. Don't feel bad. It's not your fault. Just relax and make your own thread. Someone will come to talk to you. Try not to make a big fuss about it.
What Types of Quizzes Should I Make?
The majority of users on this site seem to be female, so female based quizzes will gain popularity fast here, eg. "How Beautiful Are You", "Are Your Ready To Marry The Perfect Guy", etc. HOWEVER, anyone of any gender will visit the site, so making a unisex quiz (such as "How cool are you?") will get more visitors to take your quiz. It's all up to you on who you want to attract. -

You can have exactly one hundred of any of the little guys in your post. You can't have more than a hundred. (ex. You can't have fifty of and a hundred of ) -
