Is all of this necessary?
Just let the people realize theyre being idiots, make up and move on with their lives.
Just breaking into threads with arguments and 'stopping' them (threatening to compromise their accounts instead of helping them settle their differences) is just going to leave a lot of pent-up anger that will end up with anyone who argues (i.e. every human being on this site) leaving this forum. -
Agreed.
-
I agree. The only thing I really feel my power is useful for is deleting outright spam, which has declined considerably. It was the main reason people wanted moderators anyway.
-
Asking them to stop arguing is too much for them to handle I suppose
-
I agree with Kish.
-
That's agreeable.
-
Yeah, mostly because these arguments are between those two people. Unless theyre trying to pull others in, just let it die.
-
Then we might as well not have mods...
We mods, although our main purpose is to prevent spam, also should prevent vocal arguments when possible, and from my experience most arguments become pretty offensive so we might as well break it up as soon as possible and prevent further offensive posts than to let it "die down" -
Exactly.
But does it stay between them? Honestly, Im just laugh if I see two random teenagers on the internet cussing each other other out, especially on a '15+' site. -
