An ip addrees is like shoe, some sites use it by checking your tracks, record it, and sometimes use it to determine stuff like approximately where you live.
Now if say, you didn't want to have the same footprints you go to a proxy and have them do the walking around and going to websites, and they give you the info about the website. -
Not what I'm getting at but never mind, I'm stupid. My opinion is nothing. So just forget what I put.

Geek... So say I am using wifi on my pc, and with the same wifi I use it on my phone, does this mean my phone and pc have the same IP?

Yes kish, there is mac address but not sure if those can be accessed by the web.

Mac address is accessible by some browsers using javascript which may or may not be enabled.

So about proxies, could you name a few of the most used ones? -

So in other words even if Gtq Guy limits accounts on IPs, it can be bypassed by various ways and is therefore a waste of time coding anything -
