They hide their children from 'sexual' things for so long that when little Bobby joe or Sally sue finds out about it, they're avidly curious and want to explore this new idea.

That's what's happening to my brother. My parents want so bad to have at least one good child that they're trying to preserve his innocence. It's sad to see how naive he is because eventually it could be his downfall.

Usually if you can keep kids repressed until they are 18, you've pretty much sealed their fate as sexually repressed adults. It's easier with girls than boys, because boys openly talk about sexual stuff even at a young age.

My brother has always hung out with girls and me with guys so I that sounds about right. A lot of girls I know are quite naive. And stupid, but that's besides the point.

My parents sheltered me from everything, not just sex. they sent me to private catholic school as long as they could.. and look at me now .__. XD

Kids need to know about this kind of stuff! Not at an early age, but maybe when they're in fifth or sixth grade? My parents told me when I was in fifth.
Thank god for Girl Scouts or Camille wouldn't know anything... -
I went to a Catholic elementary school. In fifth grade they made us watch three movies about sex, puberty, and reproduction.

My parents never told me. I found out thanks to this site and my perverted friends. My parents sheltered me and kept me in a bubble my whole childhood.

Pretty much what Heph said. I found out thanks to the internet when I was 11 years old, and eventually, my parents just kind of accepted that I knew about it without talking to me or anything.
