So my sister (for those who don't know, her name is LeAnna) is 18, and for a long time she's been in a somewhat-of-a-relationship with this guy who's 20, and his name is Evan. It all started about five years ago (when she was 13) when my family and his family went on a vacation together, and at the airport he gave her a note in the shape of a heart that said, "I like you a lot and I think you're very pretty" or something like that. So LeAnna of course went berserk over him because she wants (like a lot of girls) to be liked by a guy. They kept their "relationship" pretty secretive, because in my family and the type of families my family is friends with, girls and guys are never supposed touch or hug or kiss each other or anything like that until after they get married. So anyway, a year later she started liking another guy named Noah who was about a year older than her. (Evan and Noah were good friends by the way). When Evan found out that she and Noah were starting to be a thing, he got super jealous and either tackled her or punched her or something like that, I don't exactly remember. (I was ten at the time and was completely in my own little world, so I only know about this from her and she told me a long time ago.) So then LeAnna was really mad at Evan and started liking Noah even more. A year later, my family and Evan's family and Noah's family all went together to stay at a house at the beach (this was Christmas 2013 if you want to keep track). After we left, Evan's family and Noah's family stayed, and Noah apparently said that he didn't really like LeAnna, and then Noah's sister told LeAnna that he had said that and then she got really mad at Noah and started liking Evan again. Fast forward a year and a half to summer 2015. We had stopped hanging out with Noah's family for a while because we didn't like them or something, but we were seeing Evan's family almost every single week. Every time our families got together, Evan and LeAnna would go off alone together, and he started hugging and kissing her and all that GF-BF stuff which is COMPLETELY illegal in my family's "culture." (By the way, neither my parents or Evan's parents knew about ANY of this at this point.) Then at around November last year, Evan told LeAnna that he liked another girl, and they couldn't be together any more (in other words he broke up with her). So LeAnna went back to being mad at Evan again. Then about a few weeks ago, Evan told his parents that he didn't want to be around our family because she had kissed him (when in reality, at least according to LeAnna, he had been the one kissing her). So of course both my parents and his parents absolutely flipped out and they had this huge conversation with LeAnna about how she's lost her virginity and she's going to end up being a prostitute and all that BS. It's all resolved now but LeAnna is still pissed at Evan.
MORAL OF THE STORY IS: I am not planning on having a relationship with someone any time soon. Not after all that mess. -
