A little girl walks up to you. She's just this random girl, maybe about six years old, who you've never seen before. She seems cute, innocent, and nice.
Imagining her? Good.
Now she asks you this question: "Excuse me Ms./Mr./whatever, but... could you explain what love is to me?"
Here's this little girl, who you've never met before, asking you to explain what love is... what do you say? -
Love is....you know when you scrape your knee and it hurts, that's what love is. Except mommy doesn't kiss your knee. And it really hurts.

Love is something you feel in your heart. You know it when you feel it. It's like you love your mother, your father, your siblings if you have any, and possibly your pets. But with different people it can feel different.
