everyone tells them to try a dating site instead of Gotoquiz? No, of course we don't want to see their s--- here, but age is a factor, you know. Firstly, most dating sites are 18+. Secondly, and more importantly, 13 year olds are not ready for relationships. They're young, they're stupid, they're naive. At thirteen, kids would really benefit from getting to know themselves. All of the preteen thirst comes from the media portraying younger and younger kids in romantic situations that do not accurately reflect the emotional maturity of people in that age group. And anyhow, do you really think healthy relationships come from little kids talking to strangers on the internet for the express purpose of dating? (I'm scared to leave this an open-ended question; the answer is no)

That's true.

Honestly, they have to learn somehow, right? So why not let them learn the best way: hands-on experience?

What Twinny said. :3333333333333

JellyBely26 NoviceIt just really annoys me that they decide to advertise themselves in the forums.....But I do get your point.

I honestly get what you mean but then again what Alex said they have to learn somehow. And it's better when it's hands on experience. I don't think it would be the best choice to let them go on naive and oblivious. Its a two way street. Yes they are very young and shouldn't be focusing on relationships, but they need to learn.

I don;t think anyone under the age of at least 14 or 15 should be dating. For a few reasons.
1) They'll at least be starting high school.
2) if they date younger than about 15, they can't drive their boyfriend/girlfriend anywhere, they'll have to ask their parents
3) They don't really know the definition of the word "love" at that age.
4) Online dating is something I personally don't trust. Not that I think that there are any pedos on this site, but you never know with some people. -
Kids don't need experience that early in their lives, and online dating certainly shouldn't be their earliest experience with relationships.

I absolutely agree. Even seeing people in real life at my age in a relationship is real weird for me. Not because I'm jealous or anything- Hell, I sure don't want a relationship. It just feels so weird that we're so young and already participating in stuff like this.

I agree with batman, these kids are way too young to be in relationships, but they need to learn.

I agree with what you say. Everyone matures at different ages though. When they mature then they think it's ready. I have an eight year old sister who has a boyfriend. Usually people date because its "cool". Other times it is because they actually like them.
Replying to what mini said, I kind of disagree. Why do you automatically think they don't know what love is? They probably do. Never doubt kids because they are smarter than you think. Well you never know. I guess what I'm trying to say is that some kids are ready, some aren't. -
Well, I don't really have anything against kids dating at 13, but dating online is just stupid. Well, actually 13 is a bit young, but I don't think that'll stop them. But, again, the forum thing is just plain stupid. My opinion.

Agree with Maru. I can't really speak 'cause I'm in a relationship but I had a boyfriend in the outside world when I was 10. What happened? His parents got divorced and he moved away -.- Still...
