As for boys staring at girls, while it's true that it can be creepy, it doesn't necessarily mean they're sexually objectifying the girl, like the others said. I would like to caution however, that if you are being made legitimately nervous by anyone like that, you stick close to someone, keep your hair tucked into your shirt or at least over your shoulders rather than behind you, and produce a bottle of mace. Maybe don't carry the mace around in plain sight unless you're feeling particularly threatened or aren't in any heavily-populated area. That tends to get you more looks. -
Guys are never like that with me. They know I'd kick them in the balls or, if at school, push them down stairs and shiz like that. So show guys not to mess with you and they won't. If they're staring at you, glare right back. Men won't go after girls who meet their challenge. I read a study thing once that said that if a girl looks away, looks afraid and stuff like that, the men would go after her. But the girl that meets their challenge (they stare and she glares back, they try to look tough and the girl doesn't look afraid or nervous) they're more likely to leave her alone unless there are two or three men and the girl is alone.
