  My friend just got engaged to her online boyfriend. They've met multiple times and they're one of the happiest couples I've ever met.

  I see no issue with online dating as long as there is a certain amount of trust and communication.
  
  I myself am in one, and we're in the stages of planning to meet each other. Both sides of parentals know about the other.

  I think it's kind of stupid to be honest because of all the lies that could easily be passed. If it's meeting online, before bringing meeting each other good time before anything like getting engaged happens I see nothing wrong however.
