Thread Topic: And here I am.....

There's this girl. She's beautiful, smart, funny, and down to earth. Overall, she seems perfect. Except.......she's straight. Although I still have feelings for her, I've given up on her.
Now, of course there's this guy. He's pretty amazing. He's smart, funny, athletic, and also really down to earth. I have a lot more in common with him then I do with most other people. I think he might have a crush on me, but I'm not sure. The main reason for doubt is the fact that he often jokes around and calls me a guy and says that I not only look like a man, but I think and act like a man. (Just to make it clear, I have very feminine features along with a hourglass figure. He was probably referring to the way dress.)
One of the ONLY reasons I think he MIGHT also have a crush on me is the fact I keep catching him looking at me. The other reason is because today we were both volunteering at a summer camp. We were playing the game "Don't Break the Ice" with a bunch of kids. After we had arranged all the "pieces of ice" that go in the stand and flipped it over, the "ice cubes" started to fall out of the stand. I started to fix it, placing my right hand (palm down) under the ice and fixing the pieces with my left. In what I assume to be an attempt to help, he placed his hand (palm up) under the stand and started to fix the pieces on his side of the stand. He didn't put his hand on the game pieces. He placed his hand directly under mine. HE DID NOT MOVE HIS HAND WHEN HE FELT MINE. Instead, his fingers kept bending over mine in such a way that if I had bent my fingers we would be holding hands. It was kind of amazing.
I honestly don't know what to make of his actions. It's really confusing. I don't know if I should talk to him or not, especially since he treats me like one of the guys.
Also, while I'm almost completely over this girl, I don't know if it's technically fair to even ask him out. Again, I'm almost completely over her. I don't even think of her everyday anymore.
So, what should I do? -
Well personally I'm a Christian so I think you should go for the guy rather than the girl. But that's just my religion....
-
Trust your heart. That's all I have to say.
-
Don't ask him out. Instead, flirt with him or if you can't, at least somehow show some signs of interest in him so that he'd know you like him. When he knows, he'll ask you out himself if he likes you back.

Ermagerd I love don't break the ice :3

Thanks! It seems like this might help... There's just one thing I still need help with.....
I mentioned that he constantly is referring to me as a guy. This is a problem. I need to know how to be more feminine....
I have tried to hang out with other girls, it just doesn't work..... All they ever talk about is shopping or gossip....... -
I'm not sure. Try acting more childish sometimes and less serious. Wear girl-clothes like skirt. Wear make-up?
Also, I bet not all girls love gossiping or talking about shopping. Find some other girls and hang with them and see how they act. -
Are you sure the sudden change wouldn't be weird?
-
So you're a tom boy? :) I gather you don't really enjoy dressing in skirts, dresses, wearing make-up etc. Don't stop being you for the sake of one guy (or many guys). If you feel more comfortable in pants; wear pants! You can look feminine in a nice pair of jeans and a pretty blouse.
Also, I'm a girl and I don't always talk about shopping :) Although I enjoy it, I talk about plenty of other things! Gossiping is also really bad. So if you don't do that, it's great! That's definately something attractive!
And about make-up? It's really not necessary! However, if you feel it would boost your confidence and feminine charm, wear a little. Don't go over the top- you do NOT want to look like a cake face or panda bear!! Personally, I like having a little mascara, a touch of blush and lip gloss :)
I wish you the best of luck!
Ps. That cute guy seemed interested whilst you were acting like you, didn't he? It sounds to me like he may like you! Don't adjust your beautiful, bubbly personality to make yourself 'more attractive' for the boys. :) -
@ange I need to find some girls that are more like the girls on here... Y'all are awesome.
The biggest thing is the way he tells me how much like a guy I am and the way he somewhat treats me like a guy.
Any flirting tips? I don't flirt often.... -
I guess that would be a little. Make the changes gradually, like week one wear skirt, week two wear a little make up. Week 3 ???????? .
I think getting in touch with your feelings would help you a lot with getting less cold and "guy-like". So if you already did, don't ignore or suppress your feelings anymore. I hope you get what I mean...
There must be flirting methods in the net if you just google it. I personally think looking at him from across a room(where you two aren't close) and then smiling at him when he caught your glance would send him the message unless he's really not so good at getting hints or is uncertain. -
If someone told me I was like a guy, I'd slap them!
Okaydokey! :D
Ways to tell if a guy likes you and flirting tips:
- Smile at him from across the room, hold his eyes for 2-3 seconds. Then drop your gaze (look kind of shy). Don't hold for over 3 seconds- it'll get super awkward!
- Don't punch him! That's exactly what guys do! (I also do it but they're my friends- no other feeling there- also, it's if they're annoying). By punching him, you're not show-casing your 'feminine charm'.
- Smell good! :) But don't go over the top! Personally, I love fruity smells such as mango, coconut, pineapple and berry. Don't wear perfume as well as smelly soaps! (If you indulge in kiwi fruit and coconut body wash do NOT wear perfume. Scents will clash!)
- One way to tell if a guy likes you is if they're pupils dilate. (You'll have to be kind of close to notice this though).
- Comment on his eyes :) (Don't just say, "You have blue eyes!" Say something more personal, clearly something others probably haven't noticed.
ALSO, what is your hair like? Colour, style etc. How do you usually wear it?
What do you normally wear to school- colours, styles, lengths etc. -
@Victor: You know those 2 pictures you posted of yourself a couple of weeks ago? Would you possibly want to paste them on for all to see? (The link didn't work.....) Or would you really love to link them via a different URL? (It's blocked. But the one of you from ages ago wasn't....)
-
But everybody could see them? See if this works:
-
My laptop blocks them :/
