My current boyfriend i've met online. We've known each other for more than 3 years, we've skyped, know each other's address, phone number, real name, face, and everything.
Online dating is a huge risk, but I've known him for a long time. We've been together for 9 months and we intend on meeting next year and will be living together in about 3 years time.
It all depends on how much you're willing to make it work. -
theres nothing wrong with it. you just gotta be careful, and then its your own opinion whether you dont mind an online relationship

hanxbmx Juniorplease no hate on my opinion, but i personally feel it is not right. not that its horrible, it just doesnt seem right to me. i agree with @pianoperson99, itd be better to be with them in person, and i also feel like it would give the relationship a whole better and different meaning. you also dont 100% know who these people are so they could be a pedophile and you wouldnt even know it. haha maybe not that extreme, but id definitely recomend not dating online :D have a nice day

^and I respect your opinion, just remember that everyone has different outlooks on this, and it all depends on situations. There are very many outer factors.
Also, the "you don't know them" thing doesn't really apply much when the relationship started on facebook like my friend's did. They seem VERY happy together and have met each other in real life once. Like I said, online dating depends on the situation, and like everything else, it has its ups and downs like dating in person. -
