Thread Topic: What's the point of having a boyfriend...

...if all he does is cheat on you? I mean, honestly, we have been together for over a month now, and already he has flirted with 3 other girls.
1: He has winked at them,
2: blown kisses,
3: said "Oh, they're close to my age, I could date them",
4: told them that they are 'cute',
and more.
I mean, honestly, where's the commitment? Where's the loyalty here? My sister and I used to nudge each other whenever we saw a cute guy, now I just don't look. I haven't looked at a guy for more than a few seconds since we got together, and he's over here making me think he wants to break up?! How is that right? I don't even give the impression that I like other people, and he's...he's... flirting.
So I'm jealous, right? Well he asks me how often I text and I tell him that I text him and other one of my guy friends and he says that 'he's jealous'. Seriously? He's jealous?! Because I'm texting a friend?! My other friend and I are just friends, but he's over here kissing girls? Oh and
5: He made a girl think that they were actually dating.
This is getting on my nerves really fast. Any tips on what I should do? I seriously need some advice, here. -
Show him your incharge chick!!
-
My incharge?
-
Well...talk to him and tell him how you feel. Explain to him whats going on. Sound simple? Not realy, just be calm and cool and collected. Don't get mad just play it cool and talk to him
-
I have. Every single time he claims 'I wasn't meaning to flirt, I was just trying to be friendly'
-
Tell him. Be stronger and more pressasive. If you realy likes you then he will listen. Tell him to knock it off etc.
-
Okay. Thank you. That's all?
-
Anri meant that you should show him that you are in charge.
I agree with Goddess. Tell him how it makes you feel, maybe? And not like all emotionally. More along the lines of "It pisses me off when you're always flirting. And yes, blowing kisses is flirting."
If he doesn't listen and continues, I would say he isn't worth it. Then again, he's your boyfriend. -
I don't want to hurt his feelings, though. That's the only problem. He's my first boyfriend, so the entire "breaking up" thing is new. Everything is new.
Okay, thank you then. -
Oh..so know i actually get it! He was trying to be 'friendly' to me?!? Blowing kisses and asking how sexy i am..thats soooo friendly, dont you think
-
Sometimes you have to hurt people's feelings to get a point across. You have to be blunt.
If he starts trying to guilt you into it because he was making excuses before, be completely blunt and say "You were flirting with other girls while in a relationship with me, bro. I texted my friend you have the nerve to say that you're 'jealous'?! Guess what? Blowing kisses is flirting, if you didn't realize it, get your head out of your ass. You brought this upon yourself, why did you agree to be in a relationship with me if all you ever do is flirt with random girls?" See how he replies to that.
Of course, since I've never been in a relationship and I'm a selfish, uncaring little twat this might not be the greatest option for you...
But do something along those lines, at least. I dunno, I always wanna solve things with violence and fights...
OH HEY NOW I KNOW WHY I'M SINGLE. -
Just talk to him. If he makes an excuse, that's a good sign that you and this boy aren't good together.
-
@firegirl: OHMG, thank you! That's an excellent point, and I like that! Wow is all I can say. Thanks. :D You're amazing. Thank you so much. You're not a selfish uncaring twat. I actuall think it's a good idea.
@Sage: Okay, thanks. Good point. -
If he keeps doing that just dump the ahole. He doesnt deserve to date someone cool like you Emily. And make him realize hes a desperate dick sucker.
-
:) Thanks, Matt.
Just an update, a few days ago, he broke up with me. Just though I'd let you know. Thank you everyone for your advice.
