GO FOR IT, this way we don't clog up the forum with tons and tons of threads
Whatever complaint you have or confessions or whatever can go in here. it can be a visual post of complaints or written or it can be both combined.
I'll get the ball rolling:
clean and good lineart is incredibly hard to accomplish. I'm too inept in the art of clean work so I absolutely cannot do it. PAINTING IS EASIER TO ME THAN LINEART.
Typically painting is harder but everything is variant to the individual. If you're an ultra perfectionist you'll probably restroke each stroke on the linework until you get it right, but if not, painting is probably the way to go unless you like sketchy linework, in which case if that's your cup of tea and it makes you happy, go for it! Your art, your rules.
I find that painting is the deconstruction (literal meaning of the word) of perfectionists everywhere. I used to sit there for like 5 hours getting the linework right but ever since I got into painting I kinda stopped feeling those urges, and my art got more fluid and somewhat better.
When you're painting, you start off with basic shapes and work your way into something fantastic rather than jumping into perfection so quickly. This gives you time to think and breathe life into your work and makes you feel a little less rushed to make this SUPER FANTASTICALLY SUGOI AWESOME and more time to make it work. I love watching videos of people digitally painting and making blobs into beautiful artwork.
For some, it's easier to do linework, for people like me of the messier variety, painting lets me work my way into perfection. That's why I love it so much, it's the best decision I've made in my artistic career.
(lol I wrote a personal essay, sorry.) -

Noses! Why are they so hard to draw!? Just once, I'd like to draw a good nose...Once, that's all I ask!
-
Eyes! You can't get them right! It's like trying to draw what the thing you're drawing is feeling! You can't draw feeling!!!
-
Actually, I beg to differ! I love drawing eyes more than anything, because you can give them such feeling. I also like drawing horses, and wings...But I just can't do noses...

Lineart.
I have a thing on working with very small canvases so line art is always a problem for me. I like painting, too, but it comes out pretty wonky and uhg. -
Lemons!!
I just can't draw lemona -
Lemona? That's great, UnLoving -_-
I disagree as well. Eyes are one of my favorite things to draw -
Real life scenery. Painting them is hard and I sometimes with I could paint just like my art teacher but he told me that every artist is different but stiilllllll. Paint. >3

Still can't balance or mix colors. I think I'm making a pink and blue swirl, and I've actually spawned some green and orange abomination.
Or I'll try to mix a blue-greeny color and end up with some uneven grayish-blue splotchy stuff. -
I cannot paint to save my life. I have a project in mind that should be easy enough to paint, mainly because it's smooth stuff.
-
Honestly I'm not a good artist at all I can't make the whole thing come together I can just draw characters and bulls--- like that and half the time I'm not even creative.
I spent way too much time on anatomy. -
The fact that I think of something really epic that looks like this:
and end up drawing this instead:
