Yeah, though a lot of the series is kinda the Japanese point of view. xD That's why some translations have been changed a bit in the English dub, probably to fit our point of view better.
One of my favorite quotes from the anime: "And to translate that to the American audience, 'stuff happened in other countries that didn't involve explosions and kicking ass'." xD
