Years go by,
And you're still here.
Giving me morning hugs,
And walking to school with me.
Thank you, dear.
Years go by,
We're getting older.
No one knows our time,
But we shine on in the light.
Ya know, like, a wind chime.
Years go by,
We're grown men now.
Leaving behind the old days,
When we called each other cows.
Years go by,
We've found lovers.
That care for us and protect us.
But we fight for them too.
Every day, every night.
Years go by,
We've somewhat drifted.
We don't talk as much or go shopping.
We don't play games and laugh.
We live in the same home,
But we're different.
As we sit here today,
I see all that we've become.
You, strong and kind.
Me, sweet and motherly.
We've changed so much,
Done many things,
Gained much love and support,
As the years went by...
