yep, i guess your right, but if i was harry i would have kept the wand JUST for safe keeping.... you know don't want to die over a wand. especially when you are the boy who lived :P

maybe its what ollivander said. he said the wand chooses the wizard but in some cases, you have to win the wand from its original master and in other cases, you have to kill to get the wand. the wand didnt choose voldermort and he didnt win the wand from lucius

idk im not sure, i have never thought of that before, i just thought it was the spell of not the right wand for the person, not sure, hmmmmm...
