No, just no. You give them magical attributes and a 'goth' look and fall in love with one. That's worse than Twilight. Also, not to rant, but if you want to write good fantasy, I suggest reading the Pern series, or maybe the Belgariad/Mallorean series. Also, classics are great--Bram Stoker, though that may seem stereotypical, set the standards for virtually every vampire thing in history and J.D. Salinger didn't really write the kind of fiction you might want to write, but you still may want to check him out.
