The better the in game cosmetics, the worse the gameplay.
I can't think of a single game that doesn't follow that pattern. Mostly online games with micro transactions. They pump you up with "new content" and irresistible (and often expensive) cosmetics so that way you don't focus on how absolutely s--- the game is and how many problems there are.
Can you think of any games that have both amazing cosmetics and great gameplay? -

It's stunning for sure but I was more talking about games with micro transactions or online based cosmetics and updates -
