I put this in the lounge because it’s kind of a mix of different subjects?
Ok so my friends and I are going to make a visual novel, probably a dating sim.
There’s programs that are easy to use to make such a thing.
Eg ren’py or cloud novel ( I think?)
The reason I’m posting is because I want to be able to bounce ideas off more than just my friends, since we all have very similar tastes, and they Amytal just be trying to not hurt my feelings?
I’ll also be posting pictures of any art I do for it, though my friend is the one doing character art.
On that subject, should the character artist also be the one to do the background?
My other friend is going to try to use musescore to make music, and my other other friend is going to help me with story and s---.
So far we’ve decided that like in Hustle cat, the player can change their pronouns mid game, but at the start of the game can select three versions of three possible portraits.
( eg in Pokemon sun and moon you can pick what skin colour you have?)
We’ve given the character a name we think is unisex.
Satin Velvetina ( the character is a tailor/seamstress, and I’m trash.)
So far the other characters include.
One very good boi; The werewolf guard captain
One edgy boi; the sole surviving elf, the royal alchemist
One stabby girl; the princess of the kingdom who enjoys sword play and tea party’s
One giant troll; the jester, whose secretley a banished god ( may scrap that part and make them just a trickster spirit, but they kind of lost most of their powers when they were banished.)
I’ve deicded in act 2 ( or the second half) the main villain will be the elf, and Act one focuses on more more personal things, eg the werewolves ex wife.
Though if I don’t think I’m writing it well enough, I will make changes to it.
I do have other ideas, that’s just the one we like the most, we haven’t don’t too much development yet, so change is still an option.

Im aware it’s really cliche, but I think werewolf boy will be like a personified golden lab.

I think it sounds really cool. However when a name ends with a or ie it is processed as a girl's name. So instead of Valentina, Valen or Valentain could be a good surname to make sure the character is a uni-sex name.
Otherwise I think the story idea sounds great! -
Velvetina, because velvet is a kind of fabric.
But we’ve actually chnaged the plot.
The idea was too complicated,
The mc is a new recruit into an agency that deals with regulating magic use, and fighting jay bad monsters popping up locally. -
( thank you to whoever moved it, since I wasn’t sure if it was appropriate to put it here, because it’s not an actual game, it’s game development, I wasn’t sure it would be allowed here.)
