VII has good music and fun fights. Memorable moments.
X wrecks me emotionally. Poor Sin. The music is great, the plot is so beautiful, and the characters are great.
III is hard as f--- on Famicom and DS, Famicom doesn't have the same main characters though.
IV is brutal, Cecil is cool.
VI is amazing. Kefka is psychotic as hell, has great quotes.
Type 0 is my favorite. It tells a story that teaches the harshness of war, builds you up, and destroys you. -
FF XII is very political, but the combat is fun.

VII, easily. Dirge of Cerberus was my favorite of the vii set but the original came very close. Can't wait for the remake!

My favorites are X, X-2, 'll, Xlol, Xlll-2, Xlll:lightning returns.
I have trouble picking just one so I listed these. -

IX is my favorite; I love the pacing, the side games, and the Active Time Events system :3
