tongue AdvancedI don't know, I've seen some bonehead plays in men's soccer, but you do make a good point about the level of competition in women's soccer. The men's World Cup has generally been more competitive. France and Italy were in the final in 2006, but they couldn't make it past the group stage in 2010. Not to mention Holland made it to the final in 2010, which very few people outside of Holland expected.
-
bonehead plays are more likely to happen in women's soccer, its just the way it is.
France had probably their worst world cup ever, no Henry, no leadership.
Italy, everybody aged from that team.
Holland- ranked 3rd or 4th in the world, so it wasn't that big of a shock, plus they've got Sneijder and Robben, top class performers. -
I went to a party for the US team, and it was with my soccer team, and PKS never go our way. Sorry to Japan fans, but I honestly felt like the US had a better team, although I do feel it was nice for Japan to win because of what's been happening to them
-
And I've seen terrible plays in men's soccer. The US Women's team would kick ass in a scrimmage against the men's team. Not trying to start an arguement here, but you can't compare women's and men's soccer. They're both great at doing things in different ways. The men have better endurance but the women have better footskills.
-
Um, no. Just no. The men are stronger, faster, have a better flow of game, can make goals from outside the 18, do multiple things the women's side couldn't. And no, the women don't even have better footskills. I'd be surprsied if it was less than 5-0. The women honestly don't stand a chance. Just b/c they dominate in the womens world cup doesn't mean they can pummel the men's side.
Like half the teams in the womens world cup had recorded like one draw in their world cup history. Mexico as an example.
Yeah, there's no chance that'd the women's side could beat the mens. No way. -
Who even has the footskills on their team? Actually, they're quite a passive team.
-
I've scored from the midfield line to win a state championship for my soccer team.
-
And that was probably unintentional. My teammates do that too. That's not the type of goal I'm talking about. Jozy Altidore goal against Guadelupe, something similar to that. And what's your age group?
-
okay, I'm guessing this is done.
-
Sorry I didn't aswer soon enough. It was actually a terribly aimed pass that resulted in us taking the lead. I honestly don't know HOW the goalie missed it, but it still went into the back of the net so I just tell people I scored from the midfield line. U13's the age group.
I'm really not saying that the woman's team is better, BTW, it's just that the best American male athletes will usually do football or baseball and women in America usually play soccer, and that's just what makes the teams kind of even. I don't want to fight with you or anything. -
Debating is fine with me. I don't really consider it fighting. But yes, I know what you mean.
-
Thanks. I just over-worry that I'm making people mad. My mom thinks it's some sort of faze. lol.
