So, out of no where I gained about six pounds and I seriously think it went all to my stomach. I had gotten pretty sick a while back so my activity has dropped down since then, but now that I'm healthy again I'm having a hard time getting back into shape, and I feel that since I've been getting better I've been gaining more weight. I'm fourteen, almost fifteen, about five six or five seven (I can't remember) and about 116 pounds. Before I was usually down at a 110 or 105, so I want to try and drop my weight down that low again. Also, my mum signed me up for a race in October, so I want to get in shape for that.
I've been thinking about running on the weekends (as I usually don't get home until about seven or eight every night and my mother doesn't trust our town to let me go early morning jogging) and perhaps doing a certain set of sit ups every day? This would help on the exercise part, but I've been thinking about cutting back on some food, too. What I eat and when I eat is really f---ed up. I sipped dinner last night and breakfast this morning and other days I'll totally pig out because mum finally got money to go to the market. I was thinking sticking with grains and some protein, no more soda, trying to eat as much fruit as I can (but fruit here is really expensive so idk)but I'm not really an expert on this stuff. I was wondering if you guys could give me some pointers on this stuff? Thanks. -
You don't need to lose weight, already pretty small at that weight. But changing your diet to include more veggies and protein and doing some squats or other basic exercises can help. Also, try lifting weights. When you get decent muscle on, your weight will stay more stable. And more muscle can help you burn more calories just by being alive, because it uses up more calories at rest than fat. Hope this helps
