I started getting sick two days ago... I woke up with horrible post-nasal drip and a headache. I felt worse later that day: bad headache, stuffy nose, sore throat, post-nasal drip, and an off and on fever. Yesterday I wasn't as bad... no fever. Everything else the same, though. Last night I woke up a bunch... I woke up freezing 2x, and then again at the same room temp but I felt hot. This morning I have a massive headache, post-nasal drip, little stomachache, stuffy nose, sore throat. I don't think I've had a fever since last night. I'm also very tired.
I have a soccer game today in 2hrs. Should I play or not?? -
No. It's the massive headache and very tired that's saying no - you need to rest.
-
*No is to "should I play?".
-
My mom is making me go and at least watch the game... I told her how I felt, but she just said,"You're really sick... you are committed to the team, so go to the game..." OMG! I'm the only one who really knows how I feel... I also have to carpool to the game, and I don't wanna get anyone sick.
-
BTW thx, ilovelions, for the advice.
-
I think you should go to the game and watch it because you did commit to it. Don't play though. And if you get your teammates sick, oh well. They'll get over it in a few days.
-
Massive headaches are awful, you just need to be relaxing with them and I know what that post nasal drip is like; I've had it for about nine months.
-
Ok... my mom will be really upset if I don't play, but I feel miserable and if I did play, I'd probably play sluggish. I don't want to feel any worse than I do now... but I don't wanna upset my mom. But she doesn't understand how I feel. I'll definitely tell my coach I don't feel good.

Thx for all your advice. I played in my game because my team really needed me, even though I felt miserable. It wasn't too bad.
I did get hit in the face with the soccer ball really hard, though. I have a headache, and my lip is all swollen and was dripping blood... gross!! Later in the game I did a huge header: the ball was super high in the air and came down forcefully on my head. I felt a little "out of it" and dizzy after that, but I had to keep playing. -
You always get hurt O.O Are you uncoordinated or something
-
No, I'm not uncoordinated. I'm just competitive and physical. I'm tough.
