Tegan stared back at her, thinking. Still unsure if she could or should trust the stranger or not, time was slipping by. As more went by, her chances were likely doing the same down that slope.
"Yet you want to help me?" She said curious about. She shook her head gently, she had to make up her mind whether to or not. "Let's say I do believe you want to help me, how are we getting out unnoticed if the place is surrounded?" She questioned. -
Athena thought for a moment, knowing that her answer wasn't going to be the best. She put the knife she had back into the sheath, and held it in her hand. "I can't guarantee that we will get out of here alive. I will do my best, but the chances are slim." She stood up straight, and adjusted the straps of the back-pack on her shoulders. "I know for a fact that there's another scavenger that headed the opposite direction I did. He is supposed to meet some others at a check-point on that side. I am supposed to the same, but for this side." She looked at the woman standing in front of her, and continued to speak. "There are check-points that have been placed around the city in intervals. Each of them are patrolled, and manned with gun power."
"The easiest way out, would be to sneak past one of those check-points. The only hard part would be making sure we didn't get spotted once we made it past the check-point." Once they got past the check-points, it was nothing but high-ways, and interstate roads. If they were lucky, there would be a rouge car or two they could hide behind. Athena looked at the woman once more, knowing their time was waning. "So, whaddya say?" She asks.
