"What's that got to do with you being a queen?" Lavender asked curiously.

‘Chester says if I cause enough problems the people won’t want me as queen,’ Maeve huffed, resting her chin in her palms.

"I'd want you to be queen." Lavender mumbled, watching her. She then blushed as she realized that she did in fact say that out loud.

Maeve blushed. ‘Yeah, well- you’re my friend, so that doesn’t count.’ Even if she wanted Lavender to be something way more than a friend. Chester smirked to the page of his book.

Lavender chuckled nervously, nodding. "Yeah, I'm a liiiittle biased.

‘Yeah,’ Maeve said, chuckling nervously. Patton brought out the food.

Lavender grinned before taking a plate.

Maeve started eating. Chester put down his book and ate as well.

Lavender ate too, looking up at the two of them every so often to see if another glaring contest would happen.

Maeve gave Chester a “don’t you dare embarrass me” look.

Lavender was looking at her when it happened. She chuckled, wondering what Maeve was looking so defensive and upset over.

Chester rolled his eyes and continued eating.

Lavender leaned into Maeve slightly as she ate.

Maeve grinned, letting her.

Lavender smiled back. She finished her food eventually.
