‘Tired enough to go to bed?’

Lavender shrugged, grabbing one of Maeve's hands and playing with it absentmindedly.

Maeve giggled, playing with Lavender’s hair with the one she wasn’t holding. ‘You’re so annoying.’

"Hey!" Lavender protested. She sat up straight and let go of her hand, pretending to be upset. "You've lost your snuggle privileges."

‘What, no! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it!’ Maeve complained, but was giggling as she tried to shuffle back close.

"You did mean it!" Lavender giggled, shuffling away from her.

Maeve shuffled closer again. ‘No, I was joking, I swear!’

"No you weren't!" Lavender kept pulling away from her, laughing.

Maeve giggled, jumping and latching onto her. ‘Yes I was! Now you can’t run away!’

Lavender tried to get out of her grip before eventually giving up and snuggling into her. "Fine."

Maeve grinned, nestling close.

Lavender buried her head in Maeve's shoulder, closing her eyes.

Maeve smiled, running her hands through her hair. ‘Are you sureee you’re not tired?’

"I'm sure." Lavender mumbled.

‘We can sleep now if you wanttt.’
