Lavender and Maeve

Lavender nodded. She wanted to pull Maeve even closer, but didn't. She tried to block her train of thought which was mostly just scrambled thoughts about how pretty Maeve was.
-
Maeve smiled, gazing at her.
-
Lavender smiled back, not minding that she was staring. She loved the fact that Maeve was paying attention to her.
-
Maeve beamed, holding her close. ‘Soooo, what now?’
-
Lavender shrugged. "Whatever you want, princess." She gave Maeve a teasing smile at the nickname.
-
Maeve groaned, burying her face in Lavender’s shoulder. ‘Don’t ever call me that.’
-
Lavender burst into laughter, patting her head. "Relax, I won't."
-
Maeve chuckled, leaning into her touch. ‘Good.’
-
Lavender grinned. She wanted to kiss the top of Maeve's head, but didn't. Those stupid impulsive thoughts just weren't leaving her head. She worried she was going insane.
-
Maeve smiled. She just wanted to be close to her.
-
Lavender eventually started pulling away from Maeve, hoping that if she wasn't as close to her, she wouldn't want to get even closer. That, of course, wound up having the opposite effect, which just made her pull away even more. She looked down, playing with a tabby cat stuffed animal.
-
Maeve looked down. She figured it was awkward cuddling with a girl you’d only known a few days. She sat up.
-
Lavender watched her through her peripheral vision, still playing with the stuffie.
-
Maeve was still hugging onto the stuffie. ‘Wanna go get lunch somewhere?’
-
Lavender nodded. "Sure." She sat up.
