Maeve smiled, booping Lavender’s nose. ‘Sounds good.’

Lavender blushed, grinning. She went behind the counter and grabbed two cinnamon rolls, offering one to Maeve.

Maeve smiled and followed her like a puppy. She took the roll.

Lavender laughed when she realized Maeve was following.

Maeve grinned.

Lavender smiled back, kissing the top of her head.

Maeve kissed her nose and took a bite from her roll.

Lavender leaned into her, eating her roll as well.

Maeve grinned, wrapping an arm around her. ‘Do your parents really not care where you are?’

"Not really." Lavender shrugged. "I have to show up tomorrow, though, to work."

‘Can I hang around?’ Maeve immediately asked. ‘And lucky, Chester is way too strict.’

Lavender grinned. "Of course you can."

Maeve beamed, shuffling closer. ‘Thanks. I’ll try not to get in the way.’
