Caleb chuckled.

Richard grabbed his hand, beaming.

Caleb let him, kissing the back of it.

Richard blushed, grinning.

Caleb grinned. 'I love you.'

Richard looked up, trying to see if it was just a casual I love you or not. It didn't seem like it would be, but he didn't know how to feel about them saying it so early.

Caleb rubbed the back of his hand, not expecting him to say it back. 'Sorry, it's kinda early, isn't it?' he said with a lopsided smile.

"Yeah, a little." Richard smiled back.

'I figured,' Caleb said, rubbing his knuckles.

Richard nodded, looking down at their hands. He felt so awkward.

Caleb thought for a moment, trying to think of something to say. ‘So, you like my kingdom so far?’

Richard nodded. "Yeah, it's very nice."

Caleb smiled. ‘Thanks.’

"You're welcome." He paused. "You should come see my kingdom sometime."

‘I’d love to,’ Caleb said, smiling.
