Caleb watched him for a moment. He sighed and finished his food, then got up and left.

Richard buried his head in his hands, feeling like a s---ty son and a s---tier boyfriend.

Caleb walked to his office. He sat down and tied his hair up, then tried to distract himself with work and not dwell on everything.

Richard knew he should have stood up for Caleb, but then that meant he was putting the future of their relationship in Viktor's hands, and he didn't want to risk that.

Caleb was overthinking their relationship. A lot. He sighed and put his pen down and rubbed his temples.

Richard walked to his office, knocking on the door. "It's me. I get if you don't want to talk to me though, so just tell me to leave you alone, and I will."

‘You can come in if you want.’

Richard walked in, sitting next to him. "Hi."

‘Hi.’

"I'm sorry for not helping you."

‘It’s fine,’ Caleb muttered. It wasn’t.

"No, it's not." RIchard looked up. "I'm sorry. I just didn't want him to get suspicious of us again, and try to split us up, okay?"

‘Okay,’ Caleb mumbled.

Richard looked up at him, trying to figure out how upset he was.

Caleb didn’t say anything, just stared at his desk.
