Richard grinned. Their food came. -
(Alrighty lol)
Caleb started eating. -
Richard did too, only eating the vegetables and a tiny bit of chicken.

Caleb noticed him barely eating, but didn’t say anything. He wondered if this was normal behaviour or if his dad even noticed.

His dad didn't notice at all, which was just fine by him. He noticed Caleb staring and looked at him, smiling.

Caleb smiled back. He was going to ask about it, but figured it’d be best not to in front of his father. He cleared his throat awkwardly and looked at the king. ‘So, uh, Mr Whitlock, when would you like to finalise the treaty?’

Victor looked over at him. "Next week, if you're not busy."
Richard's face fell. He'd only be here for a few weeks... -
‘Sounds good,’ Caleb nodded, going back to his food.

Richard finished his food- by finished I mean finished all the vegetables and gotten a okay-ish level of protein- and looked at Caleb. "May I sit by you?"

‘Of course,’ Caleb said, smiling as he gestured to the seat closest to him.

Richard grinned, sitting down next to him.

Caleb smiled, grabbing his hand under the table.

Richard blushed, looking up at him. He intertwined their fingers.
