Richard finished with the drawer. "Is there anything else you want me to do?"

‘Nope, nothing,’ Caleb mumbled, trying to stop Richard’s previously sharp tone get to him.

Richard could tell he was upset. He sat down. "You can mess up my hair again if it'd make you feel better." He said quietly, feeling bad.

Caleb glanced down at him. ‘What makes you think I’m not feeling great now?’

"The fact that I just yelled at you and now you're being quiet and don't want me to do anything."

Caleb didn’t respond, continuing to work.

"I can leave." Richard said quietly, picking at his nails.

‘Please don’t.’

Richard perked up slightly. "Alright."

Caleb sank to the ground behind him and started playing with his hair.

Richard leaned into him slightly.

Caleb smiled.
