Richard wanted to pull him close. Instead he just ate.

Richard finished after a bit, although finished wasn't necessarily the right word.

Caleb looked at his unfinished food. ‘Are you not hungry?

Richard looked down at his food. "It's just carbs. I don't want empty calories."

Caleb frowned. ‘You need to eat. Otherwise you won’t have any energy, dar-‘ He cut himself off before he could call Richard “darling”.

"I ate the broccoli." Richard mumbled.

‘Please eat more,’ Caleb said, grabbing his hand.

Richard looked up, frowning slightly, and blushing a lot. "I-but-" He paused, looking down and glaring at his food.

Caleb rubbed the back of his hand. ‘Please? For me?’ He tried to do puppy dog eyes.

"Fine." Richard mumbled.
