Richard paused before nodding. "Yes. Just... Don't tell him why." He looked down, feeling very awkward about it.

‘Of course,’ Caleb nodded, giving a small smile.

Richard smiled back. "Thank you."

Caleb grabbed his hand. After they both got dressed, he walked to the door.

Richard let go of his hand once they got to the kitchen, giving him an apologetic look.

Caleb let him, giving a small smile, trying to let him know it was okay. He sat down at the head of the table

Richard sat down next to him.

Caleb rested his chin in his hands, looking at Viktor.

Viktor looked back at the two of them.

‘Good morning, sir,’ Caleb said with a small smile.

"Morning." Viktor gave a small nod of acknowledgement.

Caleb nodded once and looked down, fiddling with his napkin. ‘So, did you guys hear about the controversy in the North Kingdom? The queen tried to ban same-sex marriages.’

"Is that real?" Richard whispered, raising an eyebrow.
"Huh." Viktor responded, which was basically his way of saying 'yes I acknowledge whatever you're saying, but I don't want to talk too much about it' which wasn't a good sign. -
‘Yep. It’s old news, though,’ Caleb whispered back, then focused on Viktor. ‘What are your thoughts?’

"I-well, it's very... Interesting. To say the least." Viktor said stiffly. Richard tried not to make a reaction or look stupid.
