"Mm, yeah- We could go upstairs if you want," Connor spoke, looking over at Evan. "You okay, hun?"

Evan had started dissociating a bit before he nodded, his eyes not moving. “Yeah, sorry-“

"You sure? I promise, no one's gonna make you eat if you don't want to," Connor spoke softly, watching Evan.

“I’m scared that I might,” Evan whispered, wringing his hands together.

"You don't have to eat anything if you don't want to, I promise- It's not like my mom will get upset or anything if you don't get any food," Connor said as he moved to Evan, setting his bowl down and gently taking his hands.

Evan jumped, snapping out of it and meeting eyes with Connor. He inhaled shakily, quickly moving and hugging his boyfriend close and hiding his face in his shoulder.

Connor chuckled softly as Evan latched onto him, holding him close and running a hand through his hair. "I've got you, don't worry," he spoke softly, kissing his head.

“I’m sorry, I don’t like being like this,” Evan mumbled after a moment of silence.

"Hey, don't apologize," Connor said quietly, rubbing Evan's back. "This kind of stuff is hard, eating disorders. You're not doing anything wrong, it's not your fault, I promise."

“You promise?” Evan repeated curiously, lifting his head slightly.

"I promise," Connor echoed back, smiling down at Evan. "You're not faking it, you're not doing something wrong, nothing. And I'm gonna be right here with you, through it all, okay?"

Evan smiled a little, loosening his grip on Connor. “Okay, thank you-“

"You're welcome~" Connor said with a smile, kissing Evan's lips for a moment before letting go and pulling away. He grabbed his bowl and grabbed his boyfriend's hand, leading him upstairs.

Evan stayed close, trying not to breathe in the smell of mac n’ cheese and make himself nauseous.

Connor hummed as he led Evan up to his room, walking over to his bed and sitting down. "You wanna listen to some music?" He asked, gesturing to his record player.
