George stirred awake as Clay moved around, groaning quietly. He took one look at his boyfriend’s expression and frowned. “What’s wrong, baby?”
-
“Nothing, just- what time is it? I can’t find my phone,” Clay mumbled tiredly, continuing to check the sheets for his phone.
-
George grabbed his phone from the bedside table where he left it, checking the time and thinking nothing of it. “It’s eight.”
-
Clay finally found his phone and quickly opened it, checking to see if he got any texts from his mother or from Sam. He exhaled with relief when he found no messages, but his worries didn’t fade yet.
-
“Are you sure you’re good? What’s going on?” George frowned, watching Clay for a moment.
-
“Sorry, I- I just panicked,” Clay said with a nervous chuckle, laying back down. “I- I thought my mom would like, come in or something-“
-
“Oh- s---, I stayed the night, didn’t I,” George groaned quietly, putting his phone down and rubbing his face. “I meant to leave last night- sorry, I guess I fell asleep.”
-
“No, it’s okay, really-“ Clay said, watching George for a moment. “I just- panicked for no reason, I’m sorry…”
-
“No, I get it, don’t worry,” George said, looking over to Clay and rolling over to wrap him in a hug. “I can head out if you’re scared she still might come.”
-
“No, I want you to stay- I really do,” Clay murmured, clinging to George.
(wait is it 8 am or pm?? i’m so lost on the time xD) -
(am 😭)
“I know you do, hun,” George said softly, rubbing Clay’s back. “But would it be safer if I come back later, instead?” He froze, panic coming onto his features as he jumped up. “s---, s---- I forgot about breakfast-“ he exclaimed, grabbing his phone. “I do have to go, f---! Why didn’t my alarm go off??” -
(OK that’s what i thought xD)
“s---, I didn’t even hear an alarm go off,” Clay said, sitting up. “f---, yeah, you better go-“ -
“Ugh! Okay, bye I love you,” George said hastily, rushing out the door and down the hall.
(ts? maybe to later?) -
“Bye, love you too,” Clay said, a small smile on his face. He exhaled softly and sat there for a moment, praying to God he wasn’t so heavy of a sleeper and that no one walked in on them the night before.
(yeah u^u) -
George quietly knocked on Clay’s door, slipping in. “Hello?”
