Clay smiled back at George, chuckling softly. “Thank you,” he said softly, chuckling quietly.

“Of course~” George smiled, squeezing his hand. “You’re an amazing boyfriend.”

“You’re an even more amazing boyfriend~” Clay said with a smile, lifting George’s hand and kissing his knuckles.

George flushed red, giggling happily. “Why, thank you~”

Clay smiled at George, admiring him for a moment. Veronica came back over, smiling warmly. “Y’all ready to order?” She asked, looking at the two.

“Oh! Yes, I’ll have the baked ziti,” George said with a soft smile, nodding.

“I think I’ll get the ravioli,” Clay spoke in response, looking over at Veronica with a smile. “Gotcha~ Will that be all?” She asked, jotting down the order on a notepad. “Uh, could we get some breadsticks?” Clay asked before getting a sip of his drink.

“Oo, yes, please-“ George said with a smile, nodding. He closed his menu, grabbing Clay’s and stacking them to hand to Veronica.

“Of course~” Veronica replied with a smile, nodding. “I’ll be back in a moment with those breadsticks,” she added as she took the menus, walking off. “Almost forgot about the breadsticks- We can’t not have them, right?” Clay said, chuckling softly.

“Yeah, that’d be crazy,” George said with a chuckle, nodding.

Clay chuckled softly, gently squeezing George’s hand with a smile.

George smiled, admiring Clay for a moment. “So, how do you know the owners?”

“My dad was good friends with Veronica back when he was like, in college, so I’ve known her for most my life,” Clay replied, watching George with a small smile.

“Aw, that’s nice,” George smiled. “How’d she react when you told her you had a boyfriend?”

“The woman was ecstatic- And very upset she didn’t get one before me,” Clay said, laughing softly. “She went on and on about how she used to get so many guys in college-“
