“You’re welcome~” Clay said with a smile, closing the door once George sat down. He moved over to the driver’s side and climbed in, buckling up. He started the car and headed to the restaurant, offering his hand to his boyfriend.
-
George smiled brightly, taking Clay’s hand and twining their fingers together. “How are we doing this without getting spotted by the public? We’re gonna stand out like a sore thumb-“
-
“Right, yeah- Which is why I made some calls,” Clay said, chuckling softly. “My dad’s close with the guy who owns the restaurant and was able to, essentially get the place for just the two of us for a bit.”
-
George’s expression dropped. “What the f---- no you didn’t-“
-
“Anything for my man~” Clay said, smiling.
-
“That- Clay, that’s crazy! You can’t just do that stuff-“ George said, chuckling.
-
“I- I mean, I just wanted us to have a nice, fancy dinner-“ Clay spoke with an awkward chuckle, suddenly kind of regretting what he did.
-
“Wait- no, sorry, I didn’t mean to be rude-“ George said, rubbing his face with his free hand, leaning forward in his seat. “I’m very thankful for what you’ve done~ I just- I’ve only seen this kind of stuff in movies and I’m kinda astonished.”
-
“No, it’s okay,” Clay said, chuckling softly. “I mean, yeah, I guess it is kind of extravagant- I just wanted everything to be- Well, perfect, for you~” He added, glancing over at George with a lovesick grin on his face.
-
George smiled, admiring Clay as he took out his phone to try and sneak a picture. “Well, you’re doing amazing~” He said, leaning over and kissing his cheek before snapping a picture.
-
Clay blushed and smiled, turning his attention back to the road. “I- I’m sorry if it’s too much, I just wanted to, y’know, treat you to something better than some movie dates in my room.”
-
“No, it’s good, I promise,” George said with a soft smile, admiring his boyfriend. “It better than good, actually-“
-
Clay smiled a little, nodding. He gently squeezed George’s hand, humming softly as he drove.
-
George smiled brightly, leaning down against Clay’s arm for a moment, sighing softly. “I love you, a lot. Seriously.”
-
“I love you too, baby~” Clay said with a lovesick grin, sneaking a glance at George. “I love you so f---ing much, seriously-“
