George giggled softly, leaning forward slightly in his seat. “That’s so funny- I’d love to talk to her sometime, honestly.”

“She’s a great person, really,” Clay said with a smile, nodding. “But like, seriously, don’t get her started on stuff about dating and whatever- She’ll talk your ear of about some ex she had who was obsessed with her or the huge, huge thing she had for my dad-“

“Woah, really?” George said with a laugh. “Before he met your mom?” -
(i just thought of that idea and it’s silly, so i kinda want it >:))
“Yeah, they went to the same college and were really close- She says they dated for a bit, but my dad denies it, soo- Who knows,” Clay said, chuckling softly. -

George laughed quietly, squeezing Clay’s hand.

“I know, right?” Clay said, chuckling softly as he rubbed the back of George’s hand with his thumb. Veronica came back with the basket of breadsticks, setting it on the table. “Here are those breadsticks,” she said, smiling at the two. -
“Oh, thank you,” George said with a smile, smiling up at her. He was trying to wait until she left, so just in case he did overly judge the food, he wouldn’t have to lie or hurt her feelings.

“Yeah, thank you,” Clay replied with a smile, nodding. “Your food should be out in a bit, let me know if you need anything else, okay?” Veronica said, smiling at Clay and George before walking off again.

“Thank you,” George said with a smile, watching her walk off before looking at Clay.

Clay hummed and picked up one of the breadsticks, taking a bite. “f---, this place has the best breadsticks~”

“Uh, I’m offended,” George said with a laugh, taking a breadstick and taking a bite. “I made breadsticks for you like, a week ago-“

“I meant second best, obviously-“ Clay said, chuckling softly.

“Aw, stop~” George said with a giggle, smiling.

“What, it’s true, there’s nothing like your breadsticks~” Clay said with a smile, giggling softly.

“Oh, yeah? Like the one I stick up your ass~?” George teased, laughing softly.
