Mason followed him, eyes averted to the ground.

“If you need anything, and I mean anything, please let me know, okay?” Chris spoke softly, rubbing the back of Mason’s hand with his thumb.

Mason forced a small smile and nodded. 'Yep.'

Chris watched Mason for a moment, a concerned look on his face. “I love you, okay? I’ll see you at lunch?”

'Alright,' Mason mumbled.

Chris frowned a little and hugged Mason close again, kissing his head. “Everything’s gonna be okay, I won’t let anything happen to you~”

Mason gave a small smile, nodding. 'Okay.'

Chris smiled, gently squeezing Mason for a moment before letting go. “I’ll see you later, okay?”

'See you later,' Mason said quietly.

Chris gave Mason a reassuring smile, waving a little at him before heading off to his class.

Mason watched him leave, sighing softly and walking to his own class.

Chris stood at the entrance of the cafeteria, waiting for Mason to show up. God, I feel so bad for him- I hope he’s feeling a little better. Maybe I’ll treat him to ice cream after school, try and cheer him up~

Mason showed up at the cafeteria, looking around. He noticed Chris and walked over, burying his face in his chest. ‘Hi,’ he mumbled.
