Mason winced. He stuck his hands in his pockets and walked to his room, slamming the door.

Chris hummed as he stood at his front door, waiting to see if Mason would show up. He tried messaging and calling him last night, but didn’t get a reply, so he assumed his mother grounded him.

Mason walked into school the next day, seeming down. His eyes were fixed to his shoes.

Chris looked over and smiled a little, seeing Mason. His expression darkened a little, seeing how down he looked. “Hey, baby, what’s the matter?” He asked gently, walking over and gently taking his boyfriend’s hand.

Mason looked up at him and forced a smile. 'N-Nothing,' he said quietly, squeezing his hands.

“Hun, please don’t lie to me-“ Chris spoke softly, pulling Mason close as he gently squeezed his hands. “Are you okay? What’s up?”

'I told my mum off for calling me Maya,' Mason mumbled, resting his head on Chris's shoulder. 'She called me disgusting.'

Chris furrowed his brows and let go of Mason’s hands, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. “Oh, honey, I’m so sorry-“ He exhaled softly, rubbing his back. “God, I can’t believe she said that about you…”

Mason sighed softly, burying his face in Chris's shirt. 'It's not your fault,' he mumbled.

“Still, that sucks ass-“ Chris said, exhaling softly. He hugged Mason close, kissing the top of his head. “You aren’t disgusting, I promise, darling-“

Mason sighed softly, leaning into his touch. 'Can we just go to class, please?'

“Yeah, of course,” Chris replied with a nod, holding Mason close for a moment before letting go. He grabbed his boyfriend’s hand, gently squeezing as he went to take him to his class.
